Android update to include flash for Verizon’s Droid smartphone

So it’s delayed, it’s not that big of a deal. Features found in the Nexus phone that are missing will be a nice addition, but the big news is flash support is coming. But flash is client side, so I wonder how well that will work on the droid hardware? Even if it renders just fine, is flash the right direction?

Don’t have the guts to compete in Ultimate Fighting? Perhaps you’ve got the skills for the Ultimate Typing Championship! The action is online and it’s asynchronous so you could enter the competition whenever you’re ready and you don’t have to go anywhere to do it, unless you make it to the finals which are in Austin, TX.

Olympic Mogul Skier Spam Millionaire Dale Begg-Smith

Millionaire spam mogul Dale Begg-Smith has thrice won the World Cup and was ranked #1 mogul skiier in the world. However in the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, Canadian Alexandre Bilodeau took the podium, winning the Gold. If he doesn’t want to be in the media spotlight, more power to him. But to the journalists: just make sure to spam him with more requests for comments please. I’d really like to hear what he has to say.

Donate your unused OLPC XO laptop to Haiti

I use the little green laptop on recreational travel because the wifi signal strength is much better than your average laptop and it’s been less likely to get stolen since most people look at it and think it’s a toy. Hopefully they’ll release the next version of the laptop soon so i’ll have one to play with again! So long XO.

Health Care Reform — Dear President Obama

Dear President Obama,
Congratulations President Obama! You have been in our President for one year.  What a hell of a year! For the most part you have been steadfast in trying to do what you said you would do. But it looks as if you need some pointers on Health Care Reform. I haven’t read your plan. Maybe if there was a condensed version that was readily available, I would understand what you are trying to accomplish. I have heard it’s thousands of pages long and you made a lot of deals with people to get things included into the plan. By the way, what’s with that? Where’s the “change” in that?  So here’s my plan for you to review:

Covering the uninsured
If you have been denied coverage by an insurance company due to a pre-existing condition, then you can obtain coverage through Medicare, and pay a monthly insurance premium on a sliding scale.
If you work and your employer does not provide medical insurance coverage, then you can obtain coverage through Medicare, and pay a monthly premium on a sliding scale.
If you have medical insurance but have reached your lifetime maximum benefit, then you can obtain coverage through Medicare, and pay a monthly premium on a sliding scale.
If you are living at or below the poverty level, then you obtain coverage through … Read More »

Disabled iBurst Wireless Tower Blamed for Health Problems

The Craigavon Task Forc, established shortly after an iBurst tower was built just north of Johannesburg in Fourways Memorial Park on 12 August 2009, has battled with iBurst to get the tower relocated elsewhere due to concerns over radiation from the tower causing a long list of health problems. Little did residents know, the tower was shut off more than six weeks ago.

Paid Pundit Palin!

Just as I predicted, Sarah Palin is now a paid pundit on Fox News. Who would have thought that the woman who the Republican Party tried to pass off as a VP candidate just over a year ago is now going to make Fox News more “fair and balanced”.
